In the spirit of transparency, the Obama Administration posted on its White House blog a detailed list of who makes what at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
According to the WhiteHouse.gov blog, every administration since 1995 has been required to "deliver a report to Congress listing the title and salary of every White House Office employee." In January, in one of his first acts as president, Obama announced that he was freezing the salaries of employees who made more than $100,000 a year, saying, "Families are tightening their belts, and so should Washington."
It may be a government job, but a gig in the White House isn't so bad: The highest earners take home $172,200, while at the low end, staff assistants get $36,000. The big winner, however, is David Marcozzi, the Director of Public Health Policy, who earns $192,934 a year.
The $172,200 Club: This exclusive club includes Obama's top aides, such as Senior Advisers David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, press secretary Robert Gibbs and Jon "Favs" Favreau, Obama's head speechwriter.

Editorial,
When someone takes a job with the Federal government or an agency the pay ranges are limited to what congress and the senate make. However there are bonuses supposedly based on performance that are multipliers of your base wages. I had a pal at TVA who had a base pay of around 166k and after his bonuses were added including a golden handcuff, based on mulitpliers of his base he earned 660K in 2007. I suspect the same thing with Obama'a people. These Czar's are not doing the Master's work for nothing.
If not they will rack in millions once the Administration releases them to work on wall street or for lobbyists. Write a book even.
Politics has become a very well paying profession, if you are democrat do not even need to worry about past skeleton's in the so called closet.
On this 4th of July we must remain confident our founding fathers wanted a large federal government that used paper script, not gold and silver, turned over the Congressional role of managing the economy to a central bank (Federal Reserve), and taxed the heck out of us while running up an impossible level of debt. This seems like something a man would risk his fortune and neck to install. Looking accross the pond Great Britian does not seem so different from us, we only still rule the waves with our 12 battle groups that is 50% funded by borrowing money from China, Saudi and Russia,
