Before I bought a pistol I was able to shoot it and it work fine. I took it to the range and it stove piped almost every round with my reloads. I was shooting
124gr FMJ's with 4.2gr titegroup in a P38.

I don't have any experience with loads using tite group, but it sounds like they might not be heavy enough. The action may be recoiling too slow to give
efficient ejection. Recoil spring could be too heavy for that load.

I agree, sounds like your load might not be stiff enough. You can go another .2 (that's point two) grains of Titegroup with the 124 grain bullet.
If that doesn't do the trick, go to another powder. Although there are loading recommendations for Titegroup in 9mmP, it wouldn't be my first choice
of powders. It's a little too fast burning to be the best choice for 9mmP. Better choices would be further down the list, like WW231, AA#5, SR-4756,
SR-7625, as examples. I point to these because they have a fairly wide application beyond 9mmP that you may be able to use them in if you load for other
non-magnum pistol calibers. There are many other powders you could use, too. You want to be in the mid-range of pistol powders for the 9mmP, not the fast
burners nor the slower powders for pistols but I have successfully used Blue Dot in 9mmP which is a bit on the slow side for this caliber.

Thank you gentlemen, I had been using 231 for most of my pistol loading. I was going to switch over to titegroup because it seems to burn cleaner. No use
changing what works, guess I'll go back to 231.

I have the ammo loaded but haven't had a chance to try it out. I'll be heading to Flint Michigan this week so it will be a week or so before I can.
I also picked up some WST to try in the Para P14-45 .45acp. I picked up a couple weeks ago. I need to raise the POI about a foot to a foot and a half. |

WST is another fast burner like Bullseye; good for target loads in .38 Special and .45 ACP but it's not the best powder for 9mmP.

Well I had the old girl out again yesterday. All went well with 231 and #7 reloads.
And can you believe I took the .45acp ammo loaded with WST but forgot the pistol? |
