The Obama success in expediting the collapse of America while maintaining celebrity status amazes and makes me sad. I do not hate or dislike President Obama, he is want he is. I am concerned about the rest of us enduring this and it seems the majority embrace it.
I read this comment today, 'American's must hate their children by a man living in London'. Made in reference to the out of control federal spending and how we are only paying for half of what the government is spending in 2009 with tax revenue. 60% of the T Bonds sold last week to finance this 'mess' were bought by foreign banks, add in foreign corporations and maybe 75-80% of our living is financed by other countries? These are not 30 year notes but 2 year bonds (a change made under Clinton) so with higher interest rates our debt could scream out of control. We have spent over $12T on this recession, similar adjusted for inflation and when compared to the GPD as the entire cost of WW2. The results have been....nothing! Actually making things worse.
Without reading it (familar) the Waxman, Climate Act, a carbon tax and trading scheme invented by ENRON was passed by our congress. It is like a soviet style 40 year plan. Those plans worked so well? How can any thinking person believe it will change the earth's climate? 75% of the money goes to special interests, not even tax revenue for our huge debt. If passed in law it will be repelled in the future after we are looted.
Makes me believe if the 'stereotype alien' landed and looked at America they would conclude we do not love our children, dumping this debt and pending hardship on them. Might even be worse with a pending unforseen attack or war. Could be expanded into social values and norms as well. The loss of Michael Jackson was termed, 'the loss greatest entertainer in world history' on Fox tonight. Sorry Shakesphere, Bach...
Time to stop the bleeding and prevent a 'greater depression' is running out. Leadership is taking 'all' the wrong actions for a short term power play and con job.
