Profiling |
Lead | |
|
On the way home the other day I caught up with a guy walking holding his pants up. Anyone got any idea what his national origian is??. Saw another with his
pants down below the bottom of his butt, you suppose he does not know he is profiling himself? Thought about stopping and telling him he was proving what I
thought about him. If I was one of them I sure would not want to degrade myself by dressing like that. And that is the reason I am where I am and they are
where they are. riceone.

................and then you find another trying to look like the one with pants down. Wonder what his profile is? 'Wigger' seems to fit.

I do believe that is called a "wannabe". I don't know how things are in the rest of the US but here the blacks wannabe white, (and they just have
to have a white girlfriend no matter how ugly she looks) and a lot of the whites try to imitate them.

Excellent topic! As a primary-care provider, there was a time when I only needed my nurse to chaperone during examination of females whose "private
areas" needed to be exposed. Nowadays, I have to figure out how much "private area" is going to be displayed when I lift a shirt/blouse to
listen to lung breath sounds and most of the time, I call my nurse in as a chaperone and document the fact that she was present during the examination.
Adolescent and young adult women come to the clinic wearing only enough clothing to get them through the doors. It is uncomfortable and just plain demeaning to
me, a 66 year old PA with more than 30 years of practice to have the tattoos on the lower halves of buttocks displayed when I lift the back of a blouse/shirt
to listen to the lungs. Same for "cleavage"; some of these female children wear so little to cover their "frontal area" that I need a
chaperone just to listen to their heart sounds with their clothing on - what little of it there is. There is, potentially, a fine line between appropriate and
inappropriate behavior in a medical setting; for a young woman to dress such that she displays herself is her choice but I am faced with providing an
examination which does not overstep the bounds of decency in just "being able" to view the exposed body-surface. Men of any age who "show
arse" are not pretty creatures; nobody, just nobody wants to see their cracks/butts. "Butt ugly" is a valid term for mens' butts.

This "baseball cap turned backwards" just drives me nuts! WTF, O? Remember the days of wearing "trousers" backwards? Kids with their
britches "down" and showing their boxers - again, WTF, O? "Statement!" Ok, here's my statement; "Stupid is as stupid does"
and if some of these folks figure out how to shoot while looking into the muzzle, that may help the gene pool.

The only good thing about the baggy-saggy pants is that it slows the gang-bangers down when they try to run from the law. I watched a security guard chase a
shoplifter at Wallyworld. Pure comedy!

Low hanging pants | ||

The low hanging pants comes from a popular institution for the African American young male, the big house. It was a sign that you were looking to be
someone's +!#@%.

i cant disagree with most all of your observations, they stereotype themselves and by doing so the automatically profile themselves to those observing them, or
trying not to notice them, which in some gangs is 'dissin' them. you cant win.
but ed, there was a day when i would have protested that those who enter your clinic come with the intent to be observed in the interest of correcting an issue they cant live with. today.... i can only say i dont envy you your job, you must CYA in every aspect and even then id consider redundancy a must.

Whenever I see some idiot with their cap on backwards it just makes me want to backhand them so hard it spins around the right way.
Just plain idiots. They don't look cool, they just look stupid. And if there is anything worse than an attractive woman all tattooed up it has to be an ugly one all tattooed up. Makes me want to gag. I was going to comment on the low hanging pants but Cork beat me to it. But, is it any worse than other people? Seems no one can wear pants and shoes any more. Just shorts and flip flops. Everywhere. I think this society may have become too casual. I think I am becoming an old curmudgeon.

In my clinic, I require that all males (and the occasional female hat wearer) remove their "head gear" before I will examine them. Don't want to
take their hat off? Their appointment with me is ended. What is the deal with men wearing hats indoors? Gonna get a fluorescent lamp burn? They sit at a
table/in a booth with their wives and wear their hats while eating, etc., just looks careless, ignorant and maybe just stupid. I was raised to remove my hat
indoors and in the presence of a lady. In the service, hats were worn indoors only when a person was "under arms"; loved that military custom -
"remove your hat mister or show me your authorized sidearm."
